Crash when adding Facebook account

Last updated November 13, 2012

Issue

When you add a Facebook account, PhotoExplorer crashes.

Solution

This crash happens when you add Facebbok account for browsing. This will be fixed in the nect update (2.9.4). You can workaround this issue by adding your Facebook account first with the Share permission, then you add it again with the browse permission. Follow these steps:

  1. Tap on Add Account. From the Social Sharing section, tap on Facebook.
  2. The Facebook Options pop-up appears. Make sure to leave the permissions as they are (Browse, like, comments -off, Share photo links and upload -on)
  3. Tap on Add Account (If you didn't select to use the Facebook App credentials, enter your Facebook credentials when prompted)
  4. The account will be added under Social Sharing. If you want to browse your Facebook photos, tap on Add Account again.
  5. In the Photo Browsing section tap on Facebook.
  6. The Facebook Options pop-up appears. If you want to Browse and Share leave both permissions on.
  7. Tap on Add Account (If you didn't select to use the Facebook App credentials, enter your Facebook credentials when prompted).
  8. The account will be added and now you can also browse photos from Facebook.
